Loves, can you feel the change of the season? It’s starting. Obviously we’re in fools spring at the moment but the change is definitely coming. The snowdrops are in full force and the daffodils are on their way.
I’ve loved seeing people collating lists of lovely things and have absolutely magpied the idea.
Soulful food
This week has been full of soul soothing food. Mainly featuring my carrot and ginger soup, which I shared the recipe for here and also peanutty noodles, which can be found here.Lighter evenings
Our evening walks have got lighter as each day passes, the snowdrops and daffs in the church yard near our house have been beautiful and the lighter evenings have created a feeling of extra space in the day. My day job is at an independent mortgage brokerage and I sit in front of screens all day, so seeing the daylight after work is just delightful!Knitting for small humans
Our friend’s little girl is turning one next month so I’ve been knitting away at the most gorgeous PetiteKnit pattern. Mette creates the most beautiful patterns for both small and big humans, I’ve knitted her Zipper Sweater (eyeing up this in another one as well) and am part way through the French Market Bag. Knitting is my mindful activity, I love that you’re creating something from what is essentially a bit of string. It also allows me to feel close to my Grandma, who was an avid knitter.
Although the above joys are seemingly small and insignificant, they are bringing so much joy! They’re creating space for my brain to get going again after a very long wintering.
I’d love to know what’s bringing you joy at the moment, let me know in the comments.
