Joyful Stuff #2
A roundup of the good stuff & news on a new offering!
The skinniest picture of a box of scampi and chips to introduce Joyful Stuff #2 because who doesn’t love a fish supper at the sea side?!
So, what’s sparked joy over the last few days?
A weekend away
We stayed at Raven Hall up at Ravenscar over the weekend and it was the perfect spot for a good walk and some sea air. I’ll be honest, I think it’s a shame that we’ve stopped the Victorian tradition of sending people to recover by the seaside, especially as modern research suggests there was actually something behind it. The sea air is so soothing and there’s something to be said for a walk along the cliffs. We walked from Ravenscar along the Cleveland Way, past Robin Hoods Bay and got to just south of Whitby before turning back. The path was incredibly muddy in parts but that added to the fun and childlike glee of being by the beach.
Weekends away always make the weekend feel a little bit longer as well. They feel like a proper break in the hum drum of the day to day, which I wrote about it here as well.Signs of Spring
I’ve seen at least 3 different types of blossom this week loves. Three! The blackthorn is making itself known, cherry trees are beginning to show themselves and my forsythia is starting to unfurl.

Early Spring Blossoms to look out for The snowdrops, daffodils and crocuses are in full force and are signalling the cusp of the new season and it’s bring little sparks of joy every time I see one. I adore seeing all of your photos on social media of signs of Spring! It’s so lovely to see the hopefulness that they bring.
Internal Spring is Springing
After Wintering for a good long while, Spring is definitely starting to Spring. I’ve eased myself back into teaching yoga with Old Wood Organic (as part of my freelance work with them) and we’re offering the most beautiful Nurture the Nervous System sessions starting on the 16th March.
These sessions will allow you to reconnect to your soul in the ancient woodland of Skellingthorpe Old Wood, you’ll rediscover your sense of awe and wonder and come home to yourself. I cannot wait to lead these 6 sessions, they’re going to be similar to the ones I did at Tree CIC in Newark with a mixture of learning and doing, which led to such beautiful transformations for the participants.I’m going to be writing the booking page today but wanted to share the news with you first.
With tonnes of love & excitement for the new season!
